Autumn Living Room Ideas

Golden leaves falling from trees, crisp days filled with hazy sunshine and the inevitable rainy day or two can only mean one thing. It’s time to pull together all of those Autumn living room ideas. Creating cozy spaces to see you through the cooler months.

Abi’s Autumn/Winter 2016 Trend Guide has set us up well for the season and we couldn’t resist putting some of her ideas into practice with the help of some good old Sofas and Stuff stock!

So without further ado, grab your snuggliest blanket, put your feet up next to the fire and sink into our idea of what makes hibernation heaven!

Classic Chairs

The perfect antidote to those cooler, darker evenings has got to be this spot. Right here next to the wood burner sits our Blackdown chair in Galloway Ranch leather. It is just crying out for an avid reader to sit down and not move for at least the next four months!

Equally delightful would be this little beauty wrapped up in a super snug tartan wool. Now that would really hit the cosy nail on the head. At the very least, a wooly throw will do.

Cosy Corner-Units

If you’re the kind of person that cares to share, our Hambledon corner-unit has room for the whole family (furry friends included!) We especially love the Andrew Martin cushions on the back in the full array of Autumn inspired colours. Think rich, earthy tones with splashes of reds and oranges. Pair with the neutral base fabric for stand-out, statement accessories.

The Hambledon can come in any combo of fabrics you like; we even made one in a bright red wool recently! The style lends itself to the mix and match look but go plain all over if you have lots of other patterns and colour going on in the room.

Floral Fabrics

Often, floral fabrics are thought of as being a Spring/Summer look but we so no reason to pigeon-hole a whole category of prints! 1. They can come in wonderful, subdued colours and styles that won’t look out of place next to the Christmas Tree/pumpkins/any other seasonal must-haves. 2. What’s wrong with brightening up an overcast day with a little floral fancy in your home!?

We think the Weybourne sofa in Designers Guild Floreale is just about the perfect floral fabric to see you through the whole year. It is softly faded with little pops of pink and green to add a little touch of all year round sunny style.

Light and Bright

We are back to the fireside with the Chiddingfold sofa in wool-mix, Fleck fabric. A light, bright neutral can still feel cosy in the right environment and we think our button-back sofa is the right choice for a sofa that will stand the test of time.

Add some soft velvet cushions for extra sumptuousness and you will know where to find us when the rain starts to pour.
