It’s time to get excited, Spring has Sprung, lets celebrate with a look at florals fashions…

The snow drops have arrived, the daffs are peeking through…. It’s here (well pretty much). Let’s embrace what nature has to offer and take a look at how we can bring fresh floral Sofa Prints into our homes. Florals have most certainly changed with the times, it’s not all about nana’s musty, flower patterned sofa…. Let’s take a glance at different ways we can incorporate the trend into our spaces…

Modern Florals

These sofa prints are exciting, colourful, big and bold. It’s a break from the norm with a fresh, contemporary twist on the trend. Imagine Claude Monet’s flowers x100! It’s all a little bit abstract with bags of character. The Hampton in Bluebellgrey is the epitome of this floral theme. Similarly the revolutionised comeback of retro florals circa 1970’s, offer extremely sharp styling for spring/summer 2019. To nail this look keep the scale of the print large. Perfect for any home whether in the city or in the sticks. Modern florals fabrics are super playful, there are no rules with this movement, why not really mix it up with a pallet of different patterns, textures and colours.

Foliage

The natural world can offer a super calming influence in the home. Leafy fabrics and fantastic foliage swathed over our sofas creates a chic yet fun setting. The botanical theme we’ve seen in the past few seasons is definitely here to stay. It’s a lovely alternative to the colourful out there floral prints, with the vibe being more muted and lush. The Pink House x Sofas & Stuff chair is such a masterful nod to this trend, designed by the phenomenal Emily Murray, founder of “The Pink House”. Absolutely perfect for spring with its verdant fern print and pink piping! J’adore!!!

Accents

To many the idea of head to toe floral is completely daunting! There are great ways to incorporate this trend into your home with a more demure, grown up feel. Experiment with a more monotone print on scatter cushions like the Hambledon Corner Unit & Footstool, with its bright, light appeal this sofa will elevate any space with the lightest of touches, also an option for a very large corner sofa where block floral may be too much to stomach.

Country Cottage

Great British floral sofa Prints! Lets talk country cottage luxe. Flowers cheer up any grey morning, so why not start your day by waking up in a glorious bed swaddled in them? The nature of cottage florals is that they are gentle. They should compliment their surroundings and be sympathetic. The use of blooming prints can heighten the darkest of rooms, quaint cottages can often be on the darker side due to windows being on a smaller scale, dark beams and lower slung ceilings. For inspo on this theme check out the Shoreditch in Grapevine, it’s the perfect fit for any picture postcard with strong connotations of ye old England.

Be Bold, Be Bright, Be B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L …

The last of our floral discussion has to be fun, flirty and above all completely out there! It’s fun to be daring and to really pack a punch with the use of brights fabrics and clashing patterns. The designs are endless…. Why not design your own sofa for your special space. For the eccentric budding designers out there its a great way to create the perfect sofa. Experiment with… Experimenting with florals fabrics can be exciting and completely
